Alaskan Inspiration: There are places in Alaska that make you feel small in the very best way, and Glacier Bay is one of them.

Carved and continually reshaped by ice, Glacier Bay is a landscape of immense glaciers, rugged mountains, deep blue water, exposed stone, and drifting ice.  Here, the colors seem to shift with the weather, brilliant whites and icy blues beneath an open sky, deep slate and charcoal along the mountainsides, and every shade in between reflected across the water.

It is wild, remote, and constantly changing.  A place where ice has written the story of the land for thousands of years.

Alaskan Interpretation: For Glacier Bay, we wanted to capture more than the blue of glacial ice.  We wanted the entire landscape.

White Jade represents the brilliant snow and ancient ice that define Glacier Bay, while Blue Aventurine reflects the cool blue waters and blue tones hidden within the glaciers themselves.  Matte Sodalite, with its natural variations of blue, white, and gray, echoes the marbled, fractured appearance of glacial ice and the rugged landscape surrounding it.

Polished Hematite brings in the dark rock, shadowed mountains, and exposed earth revealed as the glaciers retreat, while the silver filigree bead adds a glint of light, like Alaska sunshine catching the surface of ice and water.

Together, the stones become our interpretation of a place shaped by ice, water, stone, and time.
